Project Description

In my painting course at Illinois State University, I was tasked with doing a variety of paintings throughout the semester. While I have plenty of experience in drawing form and figure, I don’t have a lot of experience with free and lose painting genres such as abstract. So, for one of my paintings I wanted to sit down and let myself feel the medium versus drawing from life. Overall, I think it was a very helpful process that let me learn more about being loose with painting versus strict and tight in painting themes.
