Glass Cup

Project Description

At Illinois State University, I got flexibility in choosing my courses. Having an open course slot, I decided to take a glass blowing class. Having seen videos online, I was intrigued with the process and wanted to try it out for myself. In this course, I got to learn how to make a variety of different glass forms. Wanting to experiment with handles, I made a cup with a handle. Working with glass is a quick process, there isn’t much room or time for errors and usually you need to work quickly and correctly. While this was a practice piece, it was still educational and helped me correct my form in making handles.
