Project Description

At Illinois State University, I got flexibility in choosing my courses. Having an open course slot, I decided to take a glass blowing class. Having seen videos online, I was intrigued with the process and wanted to try it out for myself. In this course, my first project was learning how to effectively engrave in glass. The process is tedious and requires a lot of time and dedication. Having found myself homesick, I wanted to give myself to have something of my dog. Making his paw print, I used texture to give the glass the feeling of a dog’s paw pad.
